Botox and Fillers

BOTOX® is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows and moderate to severe crow’s feet lines in adults.

Please schedule free consultation with the Doctor to assess the area of concern and determine how many units will be needed to give the desired effect.

The following is the ranges of Botox per unit:

  • In the glabella, which is the area between the eyes usually in women takes between 16-28 units and in males takes between 18-30 units

  • For correction of crows feet bilaterally 18-24 units,

  • Horizontal forehead lines 8-16units,

  • Bunny lines on the nose 4-6units.

  • Upper vertical lip lines 4-8units are needed,

  • For a gummy smile bilaterally 2-4units,

  • Marionette lines bilaterally 2-8units, and for chin dimpling 4-8 units.

Please keep in mind that the above are average units used, patient may need more or less then the average listed depending on their muscle strength.
Injectable wrinkle fillers can give you a more youthful look for a fraction of what a traditional face lift costs. Most will fill lines and wrinkles in less than 30 minutes with results that can last from four months to more than a year.

Please schedule free consultation with the Doctor to determine the best filler for your facial. There are more than a dozen brand-name options available to consumers. Some fillers are more effective on different areas of the face, and the number of treatments needed depends on the state of the skin. Superficial lines will respond well to one treatment, while deeper wrinkles may require multiple visits.

Injectable wrinkle fillers, unlike Botox injections that relax the muscle under a wrinkle, fill the line or crease with one of several different substances. As a result, the line or crease seems to have nearly disappeared.

The treatment is fast and easy. But all wrinkle fillers have a downside, including the risk of allergic reaction and the formation of tiny bumps under the skin. In some cases, those bumps may be permanent. Typically, the wrinkle fillers with longer-lasting effects are the ones more likely to cause side effects.

Not every wrinkle is right for every type of wrinkle filler. The least risks and best results come from using the right wrinkle filler correctly.
